Dorothy Carner

Dorothy Carner is Head of the Journalism Libraries and Adjunct Professor at the Missouri School of Journalism, University of Missouri.  Carner oversees the management of the Frank Lee Martin Journalism and Columbia Missourian Libraries and a journalism collection designated a “collection of distinction” by OCLC.  She provides instruction, research and multimedia creation support for the faculty, students, alumni of the Missouri School of Journalism and Reynolds Journalism Institute. Carner has been an advocate for digital news archiving, initiating the first Newspaper Archive Summit in 2011 which has evolved and expanded into the Dodging the Memory Hole conferences, initiatives intent on saving online news. A frequent presenter and participate in the IFLA News Division, she has a BS, MS and MLIS.
