Leanna Barcelona is a current graduate student at the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is working towards certification in Special Collections and intends to graduate in May 2017. Leanna has worked at the University Archives for over two years, starting as a student assistant while completing her undergraduate work and then becoming a graduate assistant while completing her masters. In her role at the University Archives, Leanna worked with the Student Life and Culture Archives Program, the American Library Association (ALA) Archives, and the Alpha Tau Omega National Fraternity Organization Archives. She is interested in memory institutions, including museums and archives, and how these places provide access to history and memories.
